Hit the lake Thursday afternoon / evening with only 1 other boat on the water. Marked tons of fish in the 5-15 foot range, but only managed to boat 7, with several other misses.
Long lining (100 ft behind the boat) with a silver 3" rattling rap at 1.7 MPH seamed to be what they wanted. Tried many other combinations, but nothing else worked.

I didn't go beyond the marina, but the sign on the side of the road on the way up still said closed.

I was the other boat Thursday evening. We also marked a lot of fish but they were picky and only managed 7 our self. We were from 100 to 140 ft with size 5 flicker shads in custom colors and trout colors at about 1.5 to 1.9

You didn't say, but it almost sounds like you (and Goose) were chasing wipers with the lures you mentioned...that true, or rainbows hitting your offerings?

Nice -- I've had a lot of fun over the years bank fishing, ice fishing, and trolling at EC...I like to start out my trolling season there with my canoe to get some of the early bugs worked out....always enough there to keep things interesting....hope to see you out there sometime....maybe I'll have my BFT flag by then...Guluk..
