Thought I'd give the evening bite a shot. Got there just before sunset
[inline DSCN3421.JPG]Great night it was to be out, no wind, the bugs weren't real bad, and fish were active.
hooked first fish about 10 pm. It was a hit and run strike. I was at the bed of the truck cutting up bait when I heard my drag singing thought it was going to pull my rod out of the holder. Love it when they do that. Thought to myself this is my next 30"er .
after a nice little game of tug-o-war I got him in the net put it on the bump board he was only 29"
The next two fish bit like little ones just making the rod tip go tap tap. Decided to hold my rod to get a fell of the bite( got to love braid ). they would tap on it the give just a slight pull so on the pull I pulled back and then hanapa'a the fight was on.[inline DSCN3422.JPG] A chunky 28" mama she was fat.[inline DSCN3431.JPG][inline DSCN3434.JPG] her twin sister was a 1/2 inch longer and heavier 28.5 12lb 10oz that is heavier than the 31 inch I caught it came in a 12lb 3oz . Well after the moon came out around 12:30 am[inline DSCN3440.JPG] it seemed to slow down to just little ones. From my experience, when the babies have moved in it is time to move on. So called it a night around 1:30. No 30 inchers but still a very fun night[inline DSCN3442.JPG] [inline DSCN3429.JPG]
