First time at Jordanelle - any advice?
#1
Taking my family to Jordanelle this coming Saturday morning. We'll be bank tangling since we have no boat.

DWR site just said shore anglers are having success with PowerBait and Salmon Eggs.

I was hoping some of you kind folks could give me perhaps a little more specific advice. I'd love to catch perch and/or smallies, but as long as we avoid the skunk I'll call the trip a success.

Any areas of shore that are particularly good? Any that should be avoided?

Tackle/bait recommendations?

Sorry I haven't ever fished it, so I won't be much help, but I've been hearing that power bait is working well for bank tangling bows this time of year... If you're into the perch, you may want to suspend a small piece of worm off a bobber just off the bottom... One of those slide bobbers may be just the trick for what you need... It lets you fish down a lot deeper than you can cast a typical bobber set up...Maybe a floating worm might work, I haven't ever tried injecting air into them, but it might get you off the bottom, so the perch will take it... Good luck in finding a good spot to try...Later J
