Strawberry kokes and fishfinder
#1
We got the boat our and going this week. The first thing we noticed was the fishfinder would not power up. But we decided to go fishing on Tuesday anyway and troll blind.

We trolled the east shore of Strawberry for a few hours early and picked up a few cuts and one Koke. Finally after 3.5 hours we gave up and decided to troll back to the marina and go home. We were almost there when we got another koke, then another and another. 40 minutes later we had both limited out and headed home for real.
We were fishing 4 different koke rigs. Almost every fish was on the same pink and silver dodger at ~10 feet. None of the fish were big. They ranged from 14-16 inches.

Back to the fishfinder. It is getting power but looks like the display is not working. It is a Humminbird 565. I cant find any replacement display module on the web except one on Ebay which is sold "as is never tested". Is there anyway to fix the display? I Really don't want to spend several hundred to thousand on a new one finder.

Great report, can't say I've ever caught Kokes that close to the marina but how close were you, 1/2 mile or closer or farther out than 1/2 mile?
As far as your Humminbird not working correctly, was it working the last you used it? If so, have you tried to called Humminbird about it? You can Email them if you don't want to call but they are usually very helpful. It might be something simple.

we were about 500 yards East and 200 yards North of the marina.
The first time we have ever come home with two limits of kokes. Maybe I should go without a fish finder more often.

Very nice on the kokes, they sure are a blast to catch.
On your finder, if you can get in to it try reseating all the cables and connectors. If it was working the last time out good chance something is not making good contact. Good luck,
