Interesting video. It appears you would have caught that cutt much quicker with a hook on your blade. Reminds me of when fish bite my bobbers.

Really interesting seeing that cutt? attacking your dodger like that....I haven't seen it on any of your videos, but have you tried a billfish squid, say in glow pink/white, or glow all pink, with shrimp flavor juice attractant added?..thanks for your video posts!!

I'm surprised that you didn't foul hook that cutt with that many hits on the dodger! Nice video, keep them coming.
Not that you asked & not that I'm any kind of kokanee expert; however, here is a few suggestions you might try & see if your bite improves. I like to use contrasting maggot colors so they stand out. So using an orange squid, I like to use chartreuse maggots. So in my mind, I think it gives the fish something to target and pick off & in the process gets hooked up. This year I have been using a maggot on each hook - so 2 on each squid. I also place a drop of scent on each of the maggots - garlic & anise have worked well this year. In addition, I believe I have done better using beaded spinners this year over the squids. (Next year will be something different.)

first thing it drives you nuts when you see all the kokes that will not hit the lure
take some pictures of the set ups you are using and how long the leader is between dodger and squid
what is your speed
at fish lake this week I had guys that had never fished for kokes before and they saw that we got more kokes when we change speeds
if you go through schools you will get more hits they seem to get more mad at the lure.
at fish lake Friday I had one silver dodger and a one of a kind small squid that was working good we lost a hook on that squid, put another squid on (about the same)
it did not catch a fish, retied the squid put it back on started catching fish again.
also four downriggers help. are 4 lines out
also try using stuff that no one is using that the kokes have not seen before
I had a guy on my boat one day that put on a setup that I said would never work, it turned out to be the best setup for the day.

I think this is a big dill I run garlic on one side and a koke sent on the the other side of the boat. I put the oil in the bottle of Maggots.

you need to fish where the fish are not where the boats are , i was there the 14th and fishing was on fire . boated 16 kokes lost at least 8 plus a bunch of trout. 35 to 50 feet fished 1.3 to 1.8 mph. i like gulp maggots in pink or white with a little bloody tuna oil and garlic. pink squids got more bites in the morning orange latter on . best rig . just keep trying different spots and combos till you start getting better results.
