[#0000FF]That's a biggun. There were a couple almost that big that came out of Yuba in the early 80's.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]But, if you wanna see some HUGE perch, go to Europe. Several countries have perch that run to several pounds.

That's a nice fish!!! Even if it is a perch... Pat's fish is good too... Too bad more don't get that big, they would be a lot more fun to catch... Amazing how much more size they put on between 8 and 16".... Thanks for the post, always like to see big fish... later J

WOW those are huge. Unfortunely the AF never felt the need for me to go to Europe for any length of time. For many reason I wish I could. This just added another.

[#0000FF]And if you ever do get back over there...and you like to catch walleyes...you gotta go after the European version...the "zander". Here is a pic of a 26 pounder. A bit bigger than Utah average.

A 2-pound record perch floats my boat about as much as all those nongame fish Ray Johnson records...so, take this for what it's worth...if you go to Europe and you want to target something really special, go after huchen or taimen!

Agreed. I would even have a difficult time driving the relatively short distance to Cascade in Idaho just for perch, regardless of size.

yep that is a big perch, talking about old yuba I caught a perch from yuba that was
15 1/4in, 2.4 lbs. I was going to have it mounted but I see paying 400$ for a perch.
