Finally got out for my first trip of the year. Been having problems with my truck that has kept me away. Got out about 3pm and put in at Waconda. Started out on a small point where an old roadbed used to be. Fished there for about an hour and a half. Managed to boat one at 2 1/2 lbs and 18" on a jerkbait. I noted how clean the water looked but didn't think much about it until I moved on out into the main lake. Water on the main lake was pretty stained. Fished about 3 more spots and noticed the temp dropping and the wind picking up. Decided to move back into cleaner water and never got another bite. Felt really good to get out again despite the weather and water conditions. Also felt good to stretch my line again.
