5/31/19 Strawberry Report
#1
Took a day off work to hit the Berry yesterday - Launched around quarter to six and headed north.

Water surface temp was 45 degrees at launch - warmed to 48 when I left around 1.

Went 4 for 7 on a limit of kokanee with more cutt throats than I could count.

1 at 9 FOW
1 at 14 FOW
2 at 21 FOW

all came north of the marina - The area off the ladders were full of debris so I did not stick around long, headed off haws point ad picked up nothing but cutts..

First fish came on a moon jelly dodger with light pink / glitter 2" squid. I typically run size two hooks this time of year.

last 3 came on pink dodger / pink squid. I threw (almost) every color combo I had and could not connect.

The largest was just over 2 pounds. very feisty and air born in this cold water. My smoker has its work cut out for it...

Good luck out there and be safe.
