Of the 20 years I've been here I finally got into some cisco last winter. I opted out this year with my knees flaring up but its well noted how much of a blast this event is with all of the participants joining in.
However I do fish the Bear during the winter months when ice and/or winter weather cooperate. Boat preparation under way now readying an early March showing. While the Bear L brutes are fattening up now on cisco they should be off of their cisco overdose and hungry by then. As time closes in we will be setting the date according to weather of course and hope to see others there as well. The state park marina usually lets campers stay in parking lot for some over night stays since activity this time year of is slow. If docks are not locked in with ice its a possible to get a slip.
