Castaic Info?

Hey all im leaving the cold (utah) for some warmer weather and hopefully a lake that doesnt have ice on it. I am hoping to hit castaic a few times on my trip to lancaster(12th-16th of march). Any tips on what to try would be great. Thanks in advance. Matt.

[size 1]Assuming your fishing for bass, if your new to the lake you can't really go wrong with Live bait. Crawdads hook them through the tough horn up by the head, fish the bottom letting the crawdad cruise around a bit. When you get bit give him a 10 to 15 second count and swing away.[/size]

[size 1]If your after Big Fish go with a 10" Basstrix, 9" osprey or the 8" Assasin. Try bouncing the bottom with the bastrix, osprey in the tougher cover and the Assasin on the troll.[/size]

[size 1]If things are slow you can always go with jigs. The fish may not be as big but it might spice things up a bit. [/size]

Don't forget, Castaic still has the current CA state record set back in 1991. I plan on breaking that one this year. Hopefully from my float tube. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. That will be a fun ride.[cool]
