Snook on the beach...

Had a buddy in town the last 3 days, mostly fly fishing and throwing artificial’s, caught lots of trout and a few jacks but we wanted some bigger fish. Loaded the live well in the boat with grunts and headed to hurricane pass. Banged 2 nice snook and lost 3 others. Not a bait guy but it sure does work.

It was funny Kent, I had the boat staked out on a sandbar in about 2’ of water and had our baits swimming in the channel in about 6-8’, rods were in the holders on the boat but we were smoking hot so we jumped in and were just sitting in the water when the first rod went off, my buddy got on it and and as I was getting my phone off the boat the other rod went off. I held onto that one until we got the 1st one photographed and released and gave the other rod to my buddy to fight that one also.
