Hot Koke Bite at the Gorge
#1
Came over to FG for a couple days.  Hot bite if you have right gear.  Green and gold flasher with white glo squid and fire corn.  Limiting in just a couple hours each day.

Fishing 1/2 mile north and south of pipeline.  Heard that Hideout was good, but we didn’t do any good there.  Caught all fish on both days at 20 to 35’.

I’m sure he is using downriggers, but are mounted on gunnels of boat just barely outside the cameras view. If you look close you can see Cannon dis-connect cord and rigger pedestal mount.

Confirming we use downriggers.  Needed them to get down to the 30’ level.  New info on day 3.  Morning ENE wind was fierce.  Big rollers and white caps on stateline bay.  Got above pipeline and got behind high wall.  Got 3 rods out and had a triple immediately.  Lost all due to wind.  Got the 3 rods in again and another triple.  Lost these too.  Decided we could only handle 2 rods and quickly got limit of 6 in about an hour.  All were fat 17 to 19”.  Today they wanted the silver/pink flasher with white fire corn.  left the wall at 7:30 just as wind was starting to settle down.  Lots of rain squalls.  Today was best Kokanee day I can recall in the past 20 years.  Believe the bigger flashers, wind and overcast sky were partly responsible.
