Marlin fishing very slow this week, not many sightings.
Dorado
Dorado fishing has been excellent this week, with very good sizes ranging from 15 pounds up to 50 pounds, caught from the Lighthouse to Los Arcos using lures, ballyhoo, and live bait.
Tuna
Very slow this week and very hard to find them.
Wahoo
No reports of wahoo catches this week.
Rooster
No reports of Rooster catches this week.
Inshore
A few skipjacks and dorado.

Weather:
For Cabo San Lucas in the coming week the average daytime maximum temperature will be around 36°C, with a high for the week of 37°C expected on the afternoon of Thursday 21st. The average minimum temperature will be 25°C, dipping to its lowest on the morning of Tuesday 19th at 24°C. The coming week will remain predominantly dry. On the whole winds are likely to be moderate.

Grilled Dorado with Pineapple Salsa

4 Dorado fillets
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Pineapple Salsa:
1 cup diced fresh pineapple
1/2 red bell pepper, diced
1/4 red onion, finely chopped
1 jalapeño, seeds removed and finely chopped
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Juice of 1 lime
Salt to taste
INSTRUCTIONS:
Grilled Dorado:
Step 1:
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
Step 2:
In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Step 3:
Brush the Dorado fillets with the spice mixture on both sides.
Step 4:
Place the seasoned Dorado fillets on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.
Pineapple Salsa:
Step 1:
In a medium bowl, combine the diced pineapple, red bell pepper, red onion, jalapeño, and fresh cilantro.
Step 2:
Squeeze the lime juice over the salsa and mix well.
Step 3:
Season the salsa with a pinch of salt, adjusting to your taste preference.
Serving:

Tropical Pineapple Margarita
Savor the tropical essence of a refreshing Tropical Pineapple Margarita, a perfect companion to your Grilled Dorado with Pineapple Salsa.

2 ounces silver tequila
1 ounce triple sec or orange liqueur
2 ounces freshly squeezed lime juice
2 ounces pineapple juice

If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs. You don't want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking, your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of a fishing license. These are just a few things to consider when booking your charter boat. We will be talking more about this in the next weeks fishing report.
