Strawberry Fall Bite
#1
Fishing has been very steady at Strawberry last couple of trips. Water temps have been in the low 50's and the Cutts are up on the shoals and feeding very shallow under low light conditions.

When it's bright and calm I've done best creeping around in my float tube fishing Booby's, Wooly Worms, and Scuds. Under low light or windy conditions fish have been quite shallow and aggressive grabbing Black Mambas and other leech patterns. Had great action last night during happy hour twitching AP Emergers to "slurpers" cruising the weedy flats.

Nearly all of the fish have been in the slot or just above. Oddly... no Rainbows recently.

Great time of year to be out on the water. It will come to close fast though.

Thanks for the report.  It sounds like a lot of fun.  I'll have to get over there before they close the road off for the winter.

You sure can't beat the weather for this time of year.
