Strawberry 3/16 - 3/17
#1
Fished the Marina and Ladders. Action was steady both days.  Took every inch of my Mora/drill to make it through the ice. No slot busters.  But did get a nice rainbow.  Nightcrawler seemed to work well.

I'm hoping to make it up once more before the thaw.

I was up there on 3/16, Soldier Creek side. I found the ice was in 4-5 distinct layers. Top layer of frozen slush, then several layers of ice with water between. At least once I thought I had punched through, but needed to penetrate one more layer of ice. I caught most fish on shrimp, but did catch a few picky rainbows late in the day that only wanted nightcrawlers.

Planning to hit Strawberry on Saturday and probably take the shuttle out.

I'm hoping this cool, wet weather helps the ice last a bit longer.
