Yesterday I got out on a fishing pier since I couldn’t get out in the tube. I just had a knee scoped on Tuesday. I had my ice rod, ice fishing chair, and my vexilar. You could see several small bass everywhere. I dropped down my modified cast master tipped with worm. I caught perch from 4 to 7 inches, bass that were about 8 to 10. But the surprise were the bluegills. From 4 to 8+ inches and the bigger ones were plump. I know this lake had big perch about 5 years ago but the bluegill shocked me. I sure hope it freezes well this winter cause that was fun. Wow can them bigger gills stretch your line.

Don't know where you fished and it don't matter. I am happy for you that you can get out and enjoy a few tugs. I really miss the times I was able to fish for blue gill on Mantua. I get the energy they have.
