Sore arms and sore back
#1
Yesterday, Don and I had one of those days you only dream of having.  We landed 24 sturgeon and hooked 3 doubles and even a triple!  The largest were a 7-footer and a 7 1/2-footer.  Landing doubles, let alone a triple, with only two anglers, is a humorous scene of one do-si-do after another.  I am feeling it today, in my arms and in my back, and considering Don had the hot stick, I'm confident he is also feeling it today.  Fun times and I can't wait to do it all over again.

Wow! That is a great way to get sore. "Utah's Sturgeon General".  Nice that you let Don share in your pain. Great job.
Good fishing to all.   Hue

Fun, fun, fun.  Epic days like that help offset those that ain't so great.  And we all have more of those than we would like to admit.

But I can't understand why you would want to drive all the way to Idaho to fish...when you could be reeling in even more of the wimpy Strawberry cutts closer to home.  And Sturgeon don't even have all those purty black spots.  "Everybody to their own tastes" said the old maid as she kissed the cow.

Were there many other hard-core sturgaholics out fishing in your area?  I understand it can get "sociable".

Surprisingly, only one other boat, who got there before us and one guy in a kayak, who arrived after we were already fishing.  The guy in the kayak probably wanted our spot, but the other boat was too pretty to fish where we were in my boat (lots of rocks that can easily scrape a nice boat).

Congrats Kent, sounds like an awesome trip. Reminds me of days gone by when we caught so many big wipers at Willard that our arms hurt.
