East Canyon..Fri, May 2
#1
Few days late on my report here, but I'm sure the fish will still be there..buddy and I took my canoe and trolled boat ramp area and mostly the face of, and into the East Arm of EC...plenty of action, but all caught seemed to be freshly planted 11 to 14" bows...apparently more aggressive than any older and larger rainbows in the area..pink/silver flash squid, lightly tipped with small pc nite crawler, behind your favorite attractors, did the trick..I probably won't go back here for these for quite awhile, but this would be a great time/place if you have youngsters that just need some fishing action..or if you're an OG and just want some good fishing action..both our filleted limits were pale, pale, pale...but I have people that still appreciate my donations, and I get to use the filleted carcasses for the tomatoe and pepper plants..win, win for me..Guluk if you go..

What was the water temp?  See any boats doing some smallie fishing?  How's your garden doing this spring?

Thanks for that report Joe, at least the numbers were there, even if the size wasn't. Were you using any weights to get your lures down deeper or were you fishing right on the surface? By the way, have you planted your garden yet?

They planted most of the local waters around me in the past few weeks. So it out to be be pretty good fishing for youngsters for a bit
Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew

WiperHunter, Perchinski...garden good so far..all cool weather stuff in and coming up..still waiting a few more days to set tomato, eggplant, and pepper plants, and soon the warmer weather seed burials...too many weeds already.. Angry ..didn't get a surface read, as we're just using 'Showdown Troller' (ice fishing) fish finder..just shows fish and what depth they're at..mostly 8 to 15' range, but a couple caught 2 to 4', just letting line out...My bigger boat is ready for the next outing, either RP or Echo, as I could still use 4 more carcasses, and any trout seems best to me..and there were several bass boaters hitting the shore lines in that East Arm, where we were..Guluk..
