After getting the yard done yesterday I decided I was going to fish today so called up Dave and Ira to see if they were interested. 1st thing they said was it’s going to be raining, no problem my boat has a top and side curtains, at that they were both in. Meet up at the north marina, I arrived a bit early got my rain gear on and the boat ready to launch and around 6:2o they showed up and off we went. Headed south toward Freeway and dropped in above it and worked south. With the wind the past couple days water was off color and the fish were pretty tight to the bottom.  Didn’t take long and the gold worm harnesses started getting slammed and the box was filling up. Slowed down a bit after 9 until around 10 and then started picking up fish again at a steady pace and getting done around 11:30, fire tiger seemed to come on after 10 as the sky got brighter and the rain had stopped.  Ira got big fish honors with a 21.5” wiper they weighed 4.2lbs. Water temp was down with the weather at 58.6, BB’s all day at 1.0 to 1.2. There were about 6 other rigs in the lot when we came in but only 2 or 3 boats in the Freeway area, 1 guy in a bass boat in the marina throwing stuff for bass I assume, never saw the other boats.

Good work in the rain, this time of year is so good at Willard people should get out as much as they can rain or shine.
