Launched about 8 AM. The wedge dock was high and dry 100 feet from the waters edge. The curtesy dock was just barely in the water. I managed to pick up and drop off my passenger without mishap. We were the only powered boat there all day. And in case you don't already know this, Lost Creek is 100% wakeless.
We were hoping for some kokanee and managed to put one 14" in the boat. We caught about 30 trout, rainbows, cutthroat, & tiger trout. All were below the slot. We didn't keep any of the trout. The HOT lure for the day was a chartreuse Paulina Peak behind a Deadly Venom chartreuse dodger. Tried over a dozen different combinations and colors, but nothing came even close to the Paulina Peak/Deadly Venom combination. Trolling speed was kept in the 1.7 mph +/- 0.2. The weather was almost perfect with little or no wind and air temps 75 to 80 range. We marked fish anywhere from the surface down to 140 feet. All of ours came from 25 to 40 feet. We stopped fishing at 2 PM.
The electric trolling motor ran for 6 hours and used 15% of my lithium batteries capacity.
