Sad to say but....

Sorry to say but this site is only up for a short period while they retrieve post and members data for the new site them are building. From what I found out from the site manager, the Utah boards will be the only boards on the site, when they are finished. This process could take three more weeks.
Here is the message I received from the site manager about this issue:
The site will be live for a few days as we try to migrate it to a new server. Due to the high number of hacking attempts that have been shutting down the server.
The company hosting it will no longer host it and is just giving us time to retrieve files and forum backups while we source and set up a new server somewhere. Because we are being forced off their server and the problem is likely to repeat again on a new server, we are likely going to have to find new software and figure out how to migrate terabytes worth of posts and photos. The site may be down for posting for several weeks.

Not a complete surprise. MyBB is obsolete and full of security holes.

That is the exact reason this whole thing happened. It's surprising it took this long to happen.

I have nothing to do with the board except be a member. I've been a moderator and super-mod on another board, so have a bit of knowledge about how boards like this work under the hood. That's how I know that most software like myBB is ancient and highly vulnerable. Sadly, with the advent of platforms like that "Face" thing, nobody is developing new bulletin board software or maintaining old ones.

This kind of social media is moribund.
