No fish report

I have a functional truck again....that is until the 4 wheel drive went out. Got that fixed ...I think. Will find out this week on the ranch as it rains.

But in the mean time we have tried to get back on the water. First a fall RV trip to the Uintas. That is where the 4 wheel drive finally completely stopped working. But we were able to fish a few lakes along the mirror lake highway. It is the first skunk for Cookie in along time. They were surface feeding on a small midge and we just could not get any action. A few little hits. I included the video below. Not much fishing but I did find some odd items attached to trees and some markings I was able to convince my nephews that they were Bigfoot markings. I wonder how many of ya will know what the things on the trees are. None of my crew did until I told them. I also hand carved Cookie a ladle as she forgot hers. I enjoy my new hobby. I so badly wanted to drive to a little creek I had scouted out but without 4x4 not a chance

Then a quick evening trip to Willard. Our first of the year I think. What an odd summer. Decided to try fishing the outlet of the north marina. Cookie had one to the shore pretty quick (cat) but it popped off at the bank. She had two more good takes then a bunch of boats came in and out and must of put the fish down as we did not get another bite.

We are headed to the Wind Rivers in a few weeks. Considering a guided fishing trip either floating or possibly after lakers from a boat. Anybody got recommendations on that?

Should have my student club out next week at RP or Smith and Moorehouse. Will let ya know how it goes.

Here is the Uintas video link

Remember: keep the lid on the worms, share your jerky, and stop by to say hi to Cookie and the Cowboy-Pirate crew

Great video. You guys always have fun camping trips and I enjoy you sharing them. I hope the 4-wheel drive isn't too bad. Looking forward to your next adventure.
