Canyon Lake & Highland Chain of Lakes Report
#1
Well, if you have to fish way up in north Texas a Carolina rig is probably the way to go in water as cold as 50-55, but down in central Texas we have 65 degrees on all of our lakes.

THE SPAWN IS ON! Bass to 8 lbs. have pushed right to the mouth of creeks and pockets and will go on inside the points
anytime now. Texas rigged watermelon Craw Tubes will take them along rip rap on seawalls but a pumpkin/chartreuse Snap Back lizard and No. 46 (crawfish) 1/4 oz. Rat-L-Traps
are the way to go. A crawfish 4" Whacky Stick (Creme Lure)
is producing males up to 2 1/2 lbs.

So if you don't want to drag a Carolina rig, but prefer to target aggressive shallow water bass anren't familiar with these lakes and would prefer to go with a Fulltime, Licensed guide give us a call.
