Hump
#1

Hey there guys,

The term 'hump' is used to mean a sea mount or more commonly a bank or reef in the ocean. The general term of reef usually indicates not just material composition but also the depth. A bank, also similar to reef, would be much deeper than what is called a reef here on the West Coast.

Of course the east coast is famous for their 'cod banks' in New England deeper waters and or soft 'outer banks' (South Carolina). They too use these terms interchangibly on a case by case basis. Gulf Coast has it share too.
