Has anyone here fished cutler for cats? i have tried for cats, and bass. the dwr said that they elctroshocked the lake and turned up some close to record bass. and they said when a new state record bass comes from utah it will be from utah lake, cutler, or quail creek.I fished for bass at least 3 full days from my canoe with out a single strike, am i fishing the wrong area for bass? and where do i fish for channels in there? are there any big ones? every time i go all i catch is bullheads.. hundreds of them...
it is a great place to catch carp though.. some days there are thousands. really fun place for those. they arent the biggest carp but still fun.

We used to fish down ther all the time when I was younger. We caught channel cats in the main river channel but not very often in the "flat" areas. A good piece of chicken liver, crawlers, or hamburger worked well. Chicken.

LInk didn't work but if you go to this web site and search for Logan, Utah set the page to diplay a large map and set scale at 1:20000, and look north you find it.
I found it its in the Cache Valley here is a link from Topozone.com.
I hope it works...

I fish Cutler once and a while. Early before the skeeters get bad. It has channels , bullheads, bass, crappies and a few walleyes. Suspend your bait off the bottom and you'll eliminate the bullheads. Some cats in the main lake but more in the Bear river proper, at the point where it and Clay Slough dump into the marsh. Walleyes, most in the river. Bass , by any structure ie. bridges, rocks, brush and trees. Never seen a huge bass come out of there, 3lb. TM
