Hit lincoln this morning about 6:30 till 11:00. Had one really nice cat on, but lost him at the shore because I didn't set the hook well enough. Had one more fish on, but he hooked me on the rocks and I lost him and my hook so I went home fishless today. Fishing was really slow. I only saw one guy catch anything and he caught two large mouth bass in the spring.

Thanks for the report Jed, were you using nightcrawlers? Did you notice what the guy was using that caught the Bass? WH2

For the catfish I was using a 6" white bass cut in half. I was also casting a couple of black and chartreuse jigs 1\16 on 2/0 hooks, but didn't have any takers. I Also tried chartreuse paddle bugs and purple grubs, but had no takers. I sweetened the jigs with wax worm and night crawlers. The guy who caught the two largemouth was using some kind of chartreuse spinnerbaite. By the way does anybody have any advice on what to use? What are your favorites for the large mouth?

Sorry Jed, I can't help you with the bass question on what to use. I do know that spinner baits of different styles and colors are what a lot of the bass guys use but there is a lot of stuff you could try. If you send the Sturgeon Kid a PM I've sure he could help, as could a lot of the guys that bass fish on this site, good luck. WH2
