Ok guys what is your best guess when the ice on Bear Lake will break off? I drove around it yesterday and its starting to look pretty iffy. I would guess 1-2 weeks on the outside if the weather holds. What do you think?

I'll say prior to tax day, 15 April, the big pond will be ice free. Wind is the biggest factor at this time of year.

I fished the Cisco beach area Saturday.. Still has fair ice out past the first 10 feet from shore. Then drove to the Gorge Sunday and flip a few spinners and jigs in the open water off the points. My guess is,, the Gorge will be open sooner than the Bear (depending on the winds)..
