south jordan river
#1
I live about 5 minutes from the Jordan River near 10600 south. I have fished the river a few times, but have only caught carp and sucker. Has anyone had success on other species in the south end of the valley (bass, catfish, and maybe walleye). If so, what has been the key? When I was younger I used to catch a lot of white bass and catfish out of the river. Because its so close, I'd like to take my kids and get them into some fish, if I can figure the river out. thanks.

My mother in law lives in Draper. Does anyone know about river access by the Prison (Bangerter Exit)? I've been wanting to try it over there for some time now. I may try it out on Sat. with my little bro. if I can get some info on access.

The farthest south on the Jordan I've fished is about 5400S. besides the pumps at Utah lake.

I fish under the bridge on 90th south and usually get nice bullheads, suckers, and occasionally a nice rainbow. Down by Midas Is where I usually fish the jordan, but all I get down there is suckers and bullheads. The small pond next to midas (kidney) has channels in it, and they are usually pretty easy to catch. I may head down there this week and try some jiggin'.

LOL Shrimpboy that's a funny one! Although being in prison probably wouldn't stop a mother-in-law from lecturing!!! [Tongue][cool]

Actually I love my mother in law. I call her mom. She's an awesome cook!!! MMMM I'd rather have her food and deal with any potential lectures. lol[crazy]
