Ice off Hyrum

The ice is completely off Hyrum reservoir as of this morning. The water is very murky and there is still quite a bit of debri floating around (mostly tree branches). I don't think artificials will get you much until the water clears up some. You may be able to catch something soaking some Power Bait or drowning a nightcrawler.

There was a water skier out on the res' this afternoon. Must be the same guy every year. Just has to hit it the first day of ice off every year. I must admit, he had it to himself, and it was pure glass.

[]thanks for the report ripnlips i'm wanting to go and catch some more bass and bluegills soon. i went ice fishing one time this winter for some perch, but it was really slow and the perch i caught were anywhere from 2 inches to the biggest which was only 7 inches long. the rainbow fishing was good that day for small ones 7inches to 16 inches.
