[font "Arial"][#000000][size 2]Grand Rapids, Minn. — Two anglers from Michigan have been fined $1,000 each for taking 30 perch over their limit from Lake Winnibigoshish near Grand Rapids, Minn.
DNR conservation officers received a tip on March 13 that two men were on the lake for several days and had an overlimit. The tipster also provided a license plate number and vehicle description, which helped officers track down the men on the 65,000-acre lake. The perch overlimit was located in the freezer of a cabin where the men were staying, according to conservation officers Neil Freborg and Gary Sommers.
Chris Ellsworth, 41, of Newberry, Mich., and Ralph M. Mitchell, 25, of Paradise, Mich., were 30 perch over the limit, resulting in a $700 fine and a $300 restitution charge for each. [/size][/#000000][/font]

Some people never learn. It's too bad that they don't think about other people being able to enjoy fishing in those waters 20yrs from now.[pirate]

Who are you and what did you do with my brain? [:/][:/]

[Tongue][Tongue] Heh, just kidding. [Tongue][Tongue]

We do like peoples opinions but there are reasons that the DNR sets limits. If somebody gets rid of all the 3-5 inch perch, there won't be any left to grow to be a trophy size.

Why not register for our site? It's free and the benefits grow immensely! Tell them DDR sent ya!
