Hello-
I recently decided to go back to school, and between that and working full-time there isn't going to be a lot of fishing for me this year.
I do have a my lunch break, though, and want to use it to fish if I can. Does anyone know of anywhere you can fish the Provo with sucess as it runs through Provo and Orem? All the places I've seen seem to narrow and deep to be able to fish. I'll probably just be drifting a worm or throwing a spinner.
Thanks a LOT for any help!!!

I have family in Orem and when I would visit my cousins we would often fish the river right near the Orem/Provo line. That new strip mall and movie theater is now down there. I think it was off of Orem Center Street. We consistently caught browns in there with a variety of spinners. I know of several fly fishermen that do very well through town near the Olive Garden and Tony Romas.

There are some BIG holes upstream from Macy's (in Provo) and behind Maglby's (off freedom blvd in Provo). I used to work in Village Green (Maglby's and the Dental Institute are in Village Green) and during my breaks I would hit a couple of spots from the bank. There is a massive hole just barely downstream from where southbound Unversity Prky crosses the river. You can gain access to the river trail via foot bridge at village green. Just upstream from the foot bridge is a large gas line that crosses the river. Its been know to keep a few hooks, but there are alot fish in that hole too.
I was fly flinging, and glo bugs with a 16 beadhead pheasant tail dropper, or 16 beadhead hare's ear did the best.
Good luck!!!!

I thought of one more thing after I posted. I've never had much luck downstream of the 800 N bridge (provo). I'm sure there are still some nice browns in that section, I just haven't been able to hook into them. Good luck!
