Yankee Meadows
#1
I took off last night after work with the wife and daughter to try the open water for the first time. I expected the daughter to enjoy being out but all she wanted to do was be entertained. This cut the total amount of fishing time down significantly. I fished with a brown marabou jig along the dam close to the road with no success. So I told the wife I was going to go to the other side for 15 minutes and then we would leave. I got to the other side and made 5 casts and caught 4 nice brook trout and lost the last fish to make it 5 for 5.

Fun for the first trip and one of the 14" brookies sure made a nice dinner. I'll be sure to make another trip this week.

Smooth sailing. You could get a car up there now. There were a couple of wet spots but nothing too bad

I went up there Saturday. Didn't get a single hit from 12 to 4 so I went home. It was snowing lightly all day and cold.

Good to hear you got out finally.
