Really light line ... really big plastic baits like [lizards, worms & or Senkos] ... and hardly any weight. If the water is rising, the bass will be on the outside edges of structure. Cast the plastic out, let the bait fall really slow and watch for your slack to move or make a sudden jerk. Don't move the bait at all. Find areas that have shallow bays and close by there are ledges or drop-offs. This will hold fish in the early spring. Set your drag and get ready!
