I-80 Ponds
#1
Fished the I-80 ponds today. Tried everything in the box and not one bite. However I did see something interesting. Carp everywhere. They were fighting literally on top of the water making huge splashes, they swam into my pole, and I consistently had 2-10 lb carp swim right by my feet. Before you get to excited, I highly doubt anyone is gonna pull one out right now. They were to busy messin with each other to notice me. They were eating lots of algee, but thats it. It was pretty interesting. I've seen similar situations to this, where huge carp have gotten into areas with little water, and they just don't even give a second look to whatever your chuckin. LOL, well they are there. I saw at least 30-50 all up and down the bank most 5-6lbs. If you go after them good luck.

Hey gonnagobig you should try a piece of bread or dough. They'll take it off the top or the bottom in small ponds like this. They'll also take a worm off the bottom. I have fished a tiny pond out by my work here at Novell that's full of carp. It's deepest point is approximately 2 1/2 feet. I've caught plenty of them, big and small.
