CANYON LAKE: Water clear; 72 degrees; 909':

Largemouth are very good before mid-day in 5'-14' of water on white 7/16 oz. tungsten spinnerbaits w/double willowleaf blades (www.canyonlakefishing.com), green pumpkin Senkos (www.canyonlakefishing.com), rootbeer green flake
Bush Pigs (www.cremelure.com) or Brush Hogs and red shad Power Worms in standing timber under cloudy skies. Bluebird clear days require down-sizing both line (8-12 lb. test is recommended) and lures; e.g., try swimming a 3" grub along submerged ledges of bluffs or deadsticking a 4" plastic stick bait (re: Senko) in 5'-15' and holding your breath while the lure makes it's slow fall.

Smallmouth are good on rootbeer/green curl tail grubs, crawfish colored tubes w/green flakes (www.cremelure.com) and 4" watermelon Senkos w/tails dipped chartreuse fished along 5'-20' bluffs.

Stripers are only fair early in 30'-50' burning 1/2 oz. white Hyper Striper jigs (www.kgenterprise.com) w/chartreuse or Rat-L-Traps (www.rat-l-traps.com) trailers
through schooling fish, vertically jigging Pirk Minnows and drifting live bait.

White Bass are fair to good at night under green lights on live minnows, silver/clear Swirltail grubs and white crappie jigs.
