Scofeild & E-Lake report 5/8

Just got back from up there. We got to scofield about 8 this morning. Fished in the mountain veiw area from the bank. I got one BIG cutt, my little brother a tiny rainbow still with parmarks. I'm gonna get a picture of the cutt tonight. We fished till about 10. 5 minutes before we were going, Mr. Carl Gramlich(hope thats right) came and checked us, and gave me crap for using my minnow trap, even though they were all dead already. But, the bible proved him wrong. That guy is a jerk!

Over on Electric Lake, we all put on a dead shinner and put it right on the bottom. Man, them fish bit! We wound up with over 15 in 3 hours. I put my minnow trap out again because there were a ton of those little red sided shinners in the shallow, and along came Mr. Jerk once again. Tried the same crap, till he saw my licence and realized who he was messin with! Him and his partner backed off right quick then.

All in all, it was a fun day out on the water. Its gorgeous up there this time of year. The wind was good considering what its been in the valley lately. Man, I shoulda rembered the sunscreen, though. I'm red as a lobster! Lol.

hey sounds like a great trip dude!! the fish at E-lake have been hitting good for awile now.. to bad they dont get much size to them there..

did you go in through the back way? past the boat ramp?

I'm assuming that Mr. Gramlich was a game warden? Nothing a game warden hates worse than an educated sportsman that knows there proclamation better than they do. Way to set him straight twice. Good report as always.

[size 1]Theekillerbee & Bigfishrule-It really anoyed me about that warden. The ones I've met around the valley lately have been really nice. Then Mr. High and mighty comes along and gives me crud. Atleast he learned his lesson. Still, he couldn't ruin it for me. [/size]

[size 1]Fuzzyfisher- I wish them fish did get bigger. Once they fix up the leak they should get bigger. Still though, thier fun to catch. I was back about a half mile or so away from the ramp. The water was kind of off color a bit. Is it that way back towards the dam?[/size]

no the water up by the dam is nice and clear.. i drove down the back side today.. look like i can get my boat in there now so i can go look for some bigger fish..

did not get to fish today tho. just on my way to helpper to get a tooth pulled..
