Fished D. Lake today for about 5 hrs. No bites, but on the bright side we did get rained on. Hey Jensen Kid, thought you had been pulling them out hand over foot? Talked to some guys there that fish there daily, and said haven't had, seen or heard of such success. Maybe you could give me some pointers?
Seems your the only one who has success at a lot of places.
Tight Lines and good luck.

I'd have to say the weather shut them down. I havn't had a lot of success for warm water species when a cold front comes in. Last night it got cold. And the wind yesterday was freeken horrible out here.
The way I was fishing was like 90% of the people on this site fish for cats: Worm about a foot under a half ounce sliding sinker, heaved way clear in the heck out into the lake. Also, I set the hook at every little movement. Even if I think its wind or wave, I still set the hook. Most times its the elements, but occasionally I hook them that way. I've seen a grand total of 1 person fishing there, and he wound up copying my technique and catching a few, too.
I don't really know why they wern't eating. Sorry you couldn't get into them. Good luck next time.
