D-Lake 5-15
#1
On Saturday, since all my other options were exhausted, I ended up fishing Decker Lake for about 3 hours. There were quite a few people out there. I ended up fishing on the NE corner, away from everyone else. The fishing was slow. About 5 minutes after I got there, I finally got a channel on a secret bait (thanks catfishbait!!!) that was about a foot long. Not a bad fish. I sat there for about half an hour, and whamo. Another 12" channel. Then, it went cold. I finally wound up walking around the lake chucking jigs and spinnerbaits for whites, walleyes, and largies. Over by the weed bank I got 2 blue gills, and 1 very decent largemouth. The gills were maybe 5", the largemouth a good 14-15. All three took a tiny silver gitzit with a tiny chunk of worm. It was way slower than I've seen it there. I was kind of disapointed at the lack of mudders, but when you can get channels you can't complain.

I'm planing on fishing it again tonight, over by the outlet this time. Hopefully I can get into a few more fish.
