FISHING: Good
A cool week ahead should slow down the minor run-off we've been experiencing. The result may be that the Big Wood River, Little Wood River and Lost River could all be experiencing some affects of spring run-off the first week or two of the season. Chances are the river will be running high on the May 29th opener, but it may be clear enough to fish. Always be careful around the river during run-off, as unstable banks, swift currents and very cold water temperatures all add up to dangerous conditions. Be very careful if you bring your favorite fishing dog, the river is extremely unforgiving on naïve pets. We suggest leaving them at home until July. If you really want to experience the early season fishing on our freestone rivers then please fish with a friend for safety.
Little Wood Reservoir and Magic Reservoir continue to fish fantastic.
