Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
Fish is fun. Catfish are spawning on the rocks. Most are being caught on bobbers set about 4 feet. Nightcrawlers, leech and shrimp are all catching their share. Are the sum comes up fish at 10' to 12'. Bluegill are also bedding and are hitting a number of baits. Most of the beds are about 6' to 8' deep now. Largemouth are being caught in the brush on plastic worms and spinnerbaits. They seem to be running small but the action is great. Whitebass are slow due to the lack of current. When the lake levels begin to drop soon the current will be up and whitebass will go on a feed.

TIP: The lakes are near six feet above summer pool and some of the ramps can cause problems for one person getting boats in and out of the lakes.

BITS AND PIECES: You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.

www.kentuckylakebarkley.com
