Got to use the car earlier, so I went to a few of my favorite places around the valley a little ways from home. Got to Willow about 2. Oh boy! What a joke. I'd say a good 100-125 people out there. I fished an inlet, and got 10 or 12 little gills. Once the other folks out there saw I was getting them, I was drenched from all the lines splashing me. Seriously. One little brat actually hit me in the chest with his bubble and hook, then had the audasidy to say "Move it." OH boy. It took all I had not to grab that little kid by the neck and throw him in. After that little fiasco, I decided to try a little spot on the Jordan at 48th south. Fished that for an hour. 1 bite. Not very good fishing. So, I went by the cottonwood. The water was up and clear!!!! It looked better than I've seen it in many moons. I managed 4 14-17" Browns on my little #2 Brown Trout blue fox.

That sucks about that kid. Doesn't say much for the parents raising him if thats how he was acting. You should have chucked his rear in the pond and then his parents too just for raising such a punk. Thats why I've never fished the urban ponds.... I couldn't handle that garbage. At least you can say that you caught fish. People like that are what cause nice people to become protective and tight lipped about their good spots..... nobody should have to share the water and deal with people like this kid. And obviously, his parents aren't much better. My parents would have flat out whipped my butt if I acted like that in public.
