Fished for a few hours today. Caught a good number of nice smallmouths and only had to reel in one pesky perch. But the icing on the cake was when I was fishing a grub, I got one of those famous snags that started to move, I was thinking I had hooked a nice bronzback, but after a great fight, I finaly saw the fish, a 17.5 inch greenie. It was super fat too, must have been a female. It was so beautiful, I had to release it. So it is still there to get even bigger. All in all a great day,

What part of the lake were you fishing? How deep were the fish you caught? Congrats on the LMB, sounds like a dandy!!

I was fishing the rockcliff arm of the lake. Most of the small mouth came out of about 5-6 feet deep water. Rocky areas that didn't drop off too fast were best. The largemouth came out of submerged timber in about 15 feet of water.
