Georgetown
#1
So I had a few hours to kill this afternoon and decided to take a drive up to Georgetown lake. Walked the north shoreline for about two hours and cought a bunch of small browns (8-inchers ). However, I did manage to come home with a couple of 14-inch browns and a 13-inch rainbow. Tried a lot of different lures but seemed to do best with a gold/copper 1/4 ounce imitation kastmaster. Seemed the slower I reeled in, (very slow), the more hits I had. There was a couple of guys who were using fly/bubble who had some real big rainbows. I didn't realize that there were some big ones in that lake. By the way - does anyone know if float tubes are allowed there?

Hey Pancho-

Glad you caught some fish up there! There is no prohibition on float tubes on Georgetown. I know that the DOW used to put some of their brood stock rainbows in there. They may have done that again and that may be what the tubers had.
