I think we are done fishing for wipers from shore. The water level makes it hard to get into them now.Been out there the last 2 evenings and didn't even get a swirl. So it is time to head up higher anyway, it is getting to hot down here.

Don't give up, just keep an eye on the wiper reports. Now that the shad are starting to grow to the bigger size (2 inch), they will start moving close to shore again. A few years ago we were killing them from shore at the south marina, where it empties into the bay. This could happen any time or it might be another month, it seems every year has been different lately. Two years ago it happened in Aug. last year it was later but this year the fishing has been better for some reason. Even with the low water the catching has been good, so we might get lucky and get some top water action early. Good luck know matter where you go. WH2
