Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
Fishing is good. After the slow season on crappie, fishing has been excellent. Largemouth are hitting Carolina rigged plastic baits and deep crankbaits. The numbers are really up in the catches, but the size is not up to the good drop off fishing yet. Catfish are slowing from the spawn but are still good. Most live bait is working. The catfish are hitting very early and very late in the day. Whitebass are hitting inline spinners such as the Meppps over the old river channel. Bluegill have moved under the docks or to other shady spots they can find. Smallmouth are spotty but are hitting well when there is a good current in the lakes. Small jigs and crankbaits are best.

TIP: Drink lots of liquid.

BITS AND PIECES: Do you understand the word, "If"?

www.kentuckylakebarkley.com
