Lake Buchanan Guide Report
#1
LAKE BUCHANAN: Water murky upper-clear lower; 81 degrees; 1018.50':

Largemouth are good early in 2'-6' along flooded bushes deadsticking wtrmelon/red Snap Back jerkbaits (www.terminatorlures.com) &/or grn.-pumpkin Senkos. White/char. Terminator buzzbaits & threadfin Frenzy topwaters are also good choices for the early bite. Later, pitching a watermelon Craw Tube or watermelon Snap Back
creature bait to laydowns and docks produces.

Stripers are good early on mainlake points in 8'-20' from Flag island to the dam on Bleeding Shiner Rat-L-Traps, trolling 1/2 oz. Hyper Striper jigs(www.kgenterprise.com) and tight-lining live bait. With the lake being into
flood pool elevation, these fish will sometimes chase bait into flooded bushes as shallow as 2' & 3'. This is an ideal situation for throwing a white or albino Snap Back jerkbait rigged on a weighted Bait Jerker Hook (www.falconlures.com)into & along the flooded brush and stickups.
