Be On The Lookout For Tagged Fish

BISMARK, ND—North Dakota biologists are asking anglers who land a tagged fish to go online and submit information about their catch.

The state is conducting several fish-tagging projects across North Dakota this summer. If you catch a tagged fish, click on NAFC Links at: www.fishingclub.com, and go to the North Dakota Game & Fish Department website. Once there, submit your name, fish species, tag number, location and date, and indicate if you kept or released the fish. Any specific information about the catch will remain confidential.

I wonder if its the same thing as if you shot a banded geese. When you shoot a geese with a band on it you call the phone # on it and you get a really neat certificate saying where it was banded, the year, and where you shot it, etc. It's pretty cool. Wonder if they do the same for fish.

Your guess is as good as mine. Sounds like fun though!
