Kentucky Lake & Lake Barkley
#1
Whitebass fishing is excellent. Some are being caught on the surface. The surface feeds are not lasting very long yet, but are producing fast action when they are up. Most of the bigger whites are down at 15' to 20' just off the old river channel. Catfishing has slowed along the rocks but the action in the summertime holes is picking up. Stinkbaits and cut shad are the better baits. Largemouths are hitting plastic baits and deep divers on the drops in the main lake. Sauger are being caught in fair numbers. There is little crappie activity to report. Bluegill are very good early and late along the docks and other shady banks.

TIP: Whitebass like current. It pushes the bait fish close together.

BIT AND PIECES: I don't have a thought to share this week. My brain is tired.

www.kentuckylakebarkley.com
