P.E.T.A. does some good
#1
Hey , i know what your thinking but, when anyone does some good it doesn't hurt to say so .
I saw on the national news last night where a peta undercover stooge worked at a chicken prossesing plant and busted some of the employees on video doing some pretty darn sick stuff .
I'm talking sick too , I wanted to take those jerks into a back alley and give them a little of there own medicine myself . lonehunter style .
Live chickens being stomped , thrown against walls and being kicked like footballs . totally went beyond anything any sane person could justify as part of the job , sick and demented thats all , just sick and demented .
Now i'm not unfamiliar with what goes on when processing livestock , i've lived near and have hung out with some of the guys from Detroits thorn apple valley plant for most of my life , so enough said on that . killing animals for food , heck , that's my favorite pastime so we don't have to worry i've gone soft or something like that . what those workers did , totally unaccepticable by anyones standards.
I'm hoping that those idiots loose more that there jobs . i'de say a few sleepless years bunking with bubba , earl , and big moe at the state pokey are in order . if that can't be arranged , then just ten minutes with lonehunter in a back alley will fix them up good , one arm tied behind my back too , just to make it fair .
yep , this time peta , ya' done good , now as for the other million or so things ya' screwed up ........ there's a back alley with your name on it too .
anyways , thats my take on the news brodcast .

i agree lonehunter, usually peta is superfical radicals whose views are so skued and demented taht you have no idea how they can justify half of the stuff they do, but i have read the report and that is some sick stuff the workers did, tearing the beaks off of a live chicken, kicking, twisting and tearing their heads off, thats just sick and wrong, i agree the workers need to become bunk mates with bubba in the pen. cudos peta

[red]warning: this is a very graphic movie, i wouldnt recommend watching it if you just ate, if you have a weak stomach, or if you are more of a tender heart. frankly i wouldnt recommend watching it at all, but i know that curriosity will get the better of you also.[/red]

Good point LH. What those people did was absolutely cruel. Its unfortunate that peta doesn't focus more of the attention on these types of happenings rather than their usual propagada. I think peta did a good thing here, unfortunately with peta its one step up and two steps back..

I admit they did do a good deed on this one account, but as a hunter, fisherman and trapper thats about all I'll give them. I'd support them ONLY if they stay out of the sportsmans way. Don't think that will happen any time soon.

You trap tpp ? yee haaa !
it sure is fun running the line on a winters day . I didn't do so well last year , heck a winter beaver only fetches $5.00 bucks untanned up here coyote , mink , bobcat and coon furrs can make money if you sell them to the wanna be outdoorsmen at the sporting shows . they use them to decorate their walls . it's o.k. with me , i still get my greenbacks .

You can thank PETA and friends of animals for the poor prices. The rich and famous think it's not cool to wear fur. I haven't run steel for 15 years due to $450.00 license and I had to beg a buyer to give me $1.00 per m'rat. It's Sad that the young folks won't know the thrill of trapping and selling their own catch for christmas money. Well Rabies are way up on coon and red fox here so thats their payback.

i can remember as a kid a muskrat dinner with sourcrout running $10.00 a plate . back then a loaf of bread ran . 25 c .
haven't seen a muskrat since i moved north , beaver foxes mink bobcat weasels abd coyotes are about all there is . selling the hides to a fur broker gets you less than your scent money . thank god for the tourists thou , they pay premium price for a wall hanging decoration.
