malad river

do any of u guys ever fish the malad? i have fished there once and caught smaller cats and suckers, what i want to know is are there big cats in there? and if so where do the reside? any info is appreciated.

I think most of the fishing is done from the Idaho border near Portage down to the Camperworld resort at Belmont Hot Springs. There are some pollutants that go into the Malad at Belmont from the hot springs, and I don't know of many people that fish the river below the resort. Probably not many people fish the river above earlier. I have heard of carp and catfish in the river there, but it is pretty dirty and not very desireable to look at. Acey
